A lot of four collectible Sweden WA Eurenius & PL Quist and Rosalie Sjoman Stockholm hand painted cartes de visite perhaps the most ubiquitous form of nineteenth century photography. The 4 cabinet photo cards depicting male and female figures of Norwegian and Russian locals in traditional picturesque costumes. From the late 1850s through the latter half of the century, these economical keepsakes circulated en masse and spurred a veritable “cartomania”. All photos are titled in the print lower to the center. Three cards are signed in the print, C. A. Soderman, lower left. One card is signed and numbered in the print lower right.
