According to the canon, Jesus holds the orb and the scepter as symbols of the supreme power in his left hand, while his right hand is raised in a gesture of blessing. Oil on wood panel, late 19th-century. Has an indistinctly etched text in Russian at the back. A Collectible Antique Russian Orthodox Hand Painted Icon.
