A large vintage Turkmen Gupbo headdress - ceremonial tribal cap. The headdress is richly decorated with embroidery, shells, metal medallions, pendants, and bells that emit melodious ringing. The long velvet insert on the back is decorated with colorful fringes. This women's ceremonial headdress was handcrafted in the mid to late 1900s.
