Herb Kruckman (American, 1904-1998) gouache painting on paper depicting three men sitting on the park bench. Signed lower right. Framed. Circa 1940. The original auction label showing the artist's name and description of the artwork on verso. Kruckman was an illustrator, cartoonist, artist and author who worked as part of the WPA Federal Art Project. Many of Kruckman's works feature New York street scenes, filled with the Jewish immigrants of his youth.
