A Russian gilt-silver salt cellar on four legs in the shape of a throne chair with a gilded silver interior. The exterior is enameled with gorgeous geometrical and floral patterns in blue, green, cobalt blue, white, and yellow shades made in the Cloisonne technique. The lower part is decorated with a hand-painted portrait of a Russian beautiful young woman with ruddy cheeks and a long braid in traditional costume after Konstantin Makovsky's original painting, A Cup of Honey, 1890. Marked with Russian hallmarks, Silver standard mark, and other Assay marks on the bottom. Weight: 167 g.
