Lot 74 - LOT OF AMERICAN ACRYLIC PAINTINGS BY SCOTT MUSGROVE

A lot of two acrylic paintings on paper depicting stylized portraits of an octopus and a blue dog in a landscape by Scott Musgrove, a Contemporary American artist. Each is signed lower right. Both are framed. Scott Musgrove is a contemporary American artist and sculptor, a representative of the pop-surrealist lowbrow art movement. He was born in 1966 in Missouri, received his art education in Columbus, Ohio, and then moved to Seattle, Washington, where he lives and works to this day. The central theme of his work is imaginary zoology. Musgrove calls himself Chair Emeritus of the National Institute for Creative Zoology and creates highly detailed, ironic paintings and sculptures of animals that could have existed but are extinct or were never born. Modernist and Contemporary American Fine Art, Animal Portrait, Pop Art, and Collectibles. One of a kind artwork.
