A 1952 anti war propaganda poster, titled Nie, No, a seminal work by Polish graphic designer Tadeusz Trepkowski, 1914 to 1954, representing a cornerstone of the Polish School of Posters. The composition features a stark, black silhouette of a falling bomb against a muted blue background, within which the ruins of a destroyed building are depicted in warm, somber tones. Trepkowskis minimalist approach uses the single Polish word for No to convey a powerful pacifist message in the aftermath of World War II. The piece is signed and dated T. Trepkowski 52 in the upper right corner. Polish School of Posters, Cold War Art, Pacifist, Minimalist, Graphic Design, and Collectibles.
