A vintage Russian Palekh lacquered wooden trinket box with hinged lid. Square shape. Black ground color, red interior. The Palekh box depicts the scene of the meeting of Prince Gvidon and the Swan Princess from the famous work of A.S. Pushkin The Tale of Tsar Saltan, of his glorious and mighty son, the hero Prince Gvidon Saltanovich, and of the beautiful Swan Princess. Comes with labels.
