A Russian surprise Easter egg crafted from 88 silver gilt, featuring vibrant translucent blue guilloche enamel overlaid with Imperial monograms, intricate foliate scrollwork, swans, a foliate scrollwork motif. The exterior is further embellished with rose cut diamonds and cabochon garnets, surmounted by a putto finial. The hinged lid opens to reveal a white enamel interior containing a surprise figurine of a young boy. Mounted on a figural leg made in a mythological creature design. The piece rests on a stem with a white guilloche enamel base and a circular nephrite jade plinth. Marked with a Russian Silver standard hallmark, and manufacturers marks.
