Toyin Jelili Folorunso inherited a legacy in Nigerian sculpture as the great-nephew of aluminum relief master Asiru Olatunde and the grandson of Yekini Folorunso, Olatundes brother. His talent gained international recognition when he was selected to show his work at the Santa Fe International Folk Art Market starting in 2007. Further acclaim came in 2009 when he was chosen, along with two other artists, by President Bill Clintons Clinton Global Initiative to create commemorative pieces for the Clinton Global Citizen Award recipients.
