A Chinese archaistic jade pendant plaque styled after ancient ritual blades or tablets, featuring a rectangular body with a characteristic asymmetrical, sharply slanted top edge. The piece is fashioned from a variegated celadon-green jade heavily dominated by vivid iron-red, fiery orange, and deep brown mottled inclusions that imitate ancient calcification and earth staining. The obverse face is engraved with two vertically arranged characters executed in an unpolished archaic script style. The reverse showcases a richly mottled expanse of color transitions without further decoration, highlighting the stone's dense patterning.
