Peck studied at the Rhode Island School of Design as well as with the artists Eric Pape and George L. Noyes in Annisquam, Massachusetts. He illustrated for Collier's, Saturday Evening Post, Red Book, Scribner's, Harper's, Leslie's St. Nicholas and Life among others. He was associated with the Brandywine artists and painted primarily marine and rural subjects in addition to writing and illustrating several works in collaboration with his brother, Walter.
