Lot 601 - RARE ANCIENT CHINESE TANG DYNASTY GLAZED CERAMIC VASES

A lot of two rare ancient Chinese Tang Dynasty, 618 to 907 CE glazed ceramic vases. The larger vase features a characteristic dish-shaped mouth, a tall ribbed neck, and four loop handles applied to the shoulder, all covered in a translucent olive-green celadon glaze that terminates above the flat unglazed base. The smaller vessel features a fluted or ribbed body, a constricted neck with two small loop handles, and a dark glaze typical of northern kilns.
