Lot 760 - RED ARMY WWII PROPAGANDA BATTLE SHEET TRENCH NEWSPAPER

An original blank form of the Red Army wall newspaper, Boevoy Listok, Combat Leaflet, from the Great Patriotic War. These forms were centrally printed in printing houses and supplied to active units of the Red Army. The bottom section was left blank so that soldiers or political officers could handwrite text: combat missions, the exploits of their comrades, notes, and current unit news. The blank depicts a portrait of Kuzma Minin, and Dmitry Pozharsky, the leaders of the Second People's Militia, which liberated Moscow from the Polish invaders in 1612. The famous military slogan: Death to the German occupiers! Below the portraits on the ribbon is a patriotic quote from Kuzma Minin: We will not spare our lives to save the Fatherland.
