Lot 227 - CHINESE REPUBLIC PERIOD PORCELAIN AND METAL BOXES

A lot of two Chinese Republic period porcelain and metal boxes. Circa 1912 to 1949. The first box is roughly rectangular in shape with soft, rounded corners, decorated with a porcelain inlay on the lid, apparently depicting a Chinese sage in a blue and white palette. The second box, most likely an oval powder compact, features a relief landscape on the lid and a central element in the form of a bright orange rectangular stone. Inside is a small mirror.
