An antique Austrian porcelain vase features the delicate pate-sur-pate technique, characterized by building up translucent layers of white slip to create a raised floral relief. Pate-sur-pate, which allows for detailed relief imagery - a bouquet of roses and a womans profile portrait on the other side against a colored background. The vase displays a soft light blue ground, complemented by gilt handles in an ornate, scrollwork style. It is stamped with a Robert Hanke factory stamp.
