An ancient Egyptian 18th dynasty hand carved scarab bead. Circa 1570 to 1342 BC. The top of the bead is semi circular with carving inspired by the scarab beetle. The bottom is adorned with an engraved image of a beetle and hieroglyps. Through holes on both sides in the middle. In ancient Egyptian culture, the scarab beetle symbolizes rebirth and regeneration.
