Gimpel and Weitzenhoffer Gallery label on the backside. Abraham Manievich was an American artist of Belarusian-Jewish origin. He was born in Mstsislaw, Belarus and studied art at the Kyiv Art School from 1901 to 1905, and at the Academy of Art in Munich, Germany. In 1921, following the death of his son in the pogrom-initiated destruction of the Kyiv ghetto, he emigrated to the United States. Collectible Fine Art, Cityscape.
