An antique woodcut print titled Clear Waters by Robert Gibbings, 1889 to 1958, Irish, was a prominent artist known for his work as a wood engraver, sculptor, and author. He was a founding member of the Society of Wood Engravers in 1920 and a major influence on the revival of the medium in the 20th century. Circa 1920. The print depicts a nude female figure standing in water, characterized by strong contrasts of black and white, with dynamic diagonal lines representing light reflections or shadows on the water and surrounding environment. The image area has a hand-applied orange border in the provided image. Inscribed lower right. Signed by initials lower left. Additionally inscribed on the back side.
