Broad, expressive brushstrokes in earthy ochres, olive greens, turquoise blues and muted whites create a layered and rhythmically balanced composition, characteristic of Kumar’s work from the early 1990s. The painting reflects the artist’s sustained engagement with memory, space and the Indian landscape, translated into an abstract visual language rather than literal depiction.
