Erte or Romain de Tirtoff, Russian, French, 1892 to 1990, Art Deco limited edition lithograph with a fashion design. The artwork depicts an elegant young woman dressed for winter, wearing a tall fur hat and a long orange shawl, possibly a coat. Numbered in pencil 179 of 300 lower left. Signed in pencil lower right. Romain de Tirtoff was a Russian and French artist and designer known by the pseudonym Erte, from the French pronunciation of his initials. He was a 20th century genius artist, graphic artist, illustrator, set designer, fashion designer, and sculptor of the Art Deco era of Russian origin who worked in Paris and Hollywood.
