This subject was taken up by numerous artists, including Giacomo Favretto, 1849-1887, titled Gentleman Returning From a Hunt, Francesco Coleman, 1851-1918, titled Piper, and Pierre-Adolphe Huas, 1838-1900, titled Little Breton with bagpipes.
