The artwork depicts a human personification of March, a man with garlic, lampshade, and flag of Bologna. Titled Marzo. Unframed, there is a suspension on top. Giuseppe Maria Mitelli was an engraver and painter of the Baroque period. He was best known for hisscenes from grand epics to mundane page boards for games of chance using dice, Tarot cards, and an Iconophor with anthropomorphized alphabets.
