It is marked Mappin and Webb French make, London Paris and Buenos Aires and made in France lower. The clock case is decorated with oriental-style scenes including figures, pagodas, and trees. Marked on the back side. Mappin and Webb is an international jewellery company headquartered in England, tracing its origins to a silver workshop founded in Sheffield in 1775.
