A vintage Coca Cola, Samo is Dead graffiti artwork in the style of Basquiat and Al Diaz. The artwork is an advertising poster for Enjoy Coca Cola, with black graffiti with the artists signatures in the middle. Metal frame. SAMO is the pseudonym of the graffiti duo Jean Michel Basquiat and Al Diaz. The duo created graffiti and slogans in New York City in the late 1970s. The caption Samo is Dead in the image is a reference to the end of this project, which Basquiat and Diaz announced in 1979. The caption on the Coca-Cola advertisement, which crosses out the original logo and adds Samo is Dead, symbolizes resistance to mass culture and commercialization and also marks the end of the creative period of SAMO.
