An antique Persian Qajar Empire papier mache painted and lacquered mirror case manufactured in the manner of Mirza agha Emami, depicting a scene with two figures in the central medallion against an embellished ground with arabesque design, and a court scene to the other side. The frame features a broad band and a scene with figures to the back with a band in black with gilt floral decorations. Hand marked on the inside. Dates to the 19th century.
