An antique 1923 Art Deco table lamp manufactured by L.V. Aronson's Art Metal Works in Newark, New Jersey. The lamp is made of spelter metal and executed in the form of a mummy sarcophagus covered with polychrome Egyptian hieroglyphs. The sarcophagus opens to view a gilded metal figure of a nude woman with her arms crossed in a traditional Egyptian mummy casket. A single bulb socket is placed on top of the sarcophagus, the lampshade is missing. Signed on the back and underside of the base. Collectible Antique Art Deco Egyptian Revival Decor Items.
