Huang Zhou, Chinese, 1925 to 1997, a large mixed media, ink and watercolor on paper depicting the XinJiang tribe Horse Riding festival with groups of the horse riders dressed in Xinjiang tribe traditional costumes, to celebrate the horse riding festival, six eagles borne among the clear sky, and with three playful dogs within the race. Inscribed and signed by Huang Zhou with three iron red signature seals, upper right, and lower left. Mounted on pale creme border. Framed. Provenance: Eden Fine Antiques Galleries, Marietta, GA, United States, November 11, 2016, lot 124. A paper label of the Eden Fine Antiques Galleries, on the backside. Zhou Huang is known for Animal and genre social themed painting, calligraphy. Huang Zhou was a Modern Chinese artist, was originally named Liang Gantang. He was also known by the names of Liang Yezi, Miao Di, Liang Peng, and Liang Quan. He was one of the greatest Chinese artists, public figure, member of the Union of Chinese Artists. One of a kind artwork.
