Antique Imperial Russian jewelry case or trinket box with a hinged lid. The item is made of lacquered birch wood and has gold fittings. The lid is decorated with a carved color glass potted flower that is garnished with diamonds and faceted sapphires. The lock is embellished with a red stone cabochon. Hallmarked on the bottom of the lock with a 56 gold standard and maker mark AC, possibly for Sparyshkin Alexander Ivanovich, owner of a factory of gold and silver items, mentioned in 1907–1914.
