A late 19th or early 20th century oil on canvas painting depicting a British rural landscape by Frank Hider, British, c.1861 to 1933. Housed in an old gilt wood and gesso frame. Signed by the artist lower right. Frank Hider was a British artist studied at Heatherleys Art School. He traveled through Britain painting rural landscapes and coastal scenes in both oils and watercolors. Hider also visited Italy and Belgium and, although a prolific painter, he rarely exhibited.
