A porcelain butter dish "A mother hen" with a lid in the shape of a chicken lying on the roost and a container for butter in the shape of a basket. The butter dish is in good condition, neatly painted. At the bottom there is a blue overglaze stamp "Partnership M.S. KUZNETSOVA R.F." under a two-headed eagle. Circa late 19th century.
